We've been talking a lot about starting an Online Boutique but what I felt was missing in all those discussions was talking about how much it really costs to start an Online Boutique.
How much does it cost to start a shopify store?
We've all had people around or seen them on facebook that has started their Online Boutiques and doing well, but because you find it too rude to ask or are too afraid to hear the answer and know how much they really spent on building up their boutique, here's a breakdown for you.
Starting an Online Boutique with Shopify can be overwhelming and then having to guess how much it will cost or building up imaginary figures in your mind that reach thousands of $$$ stops a lot of babes from getting started.
Soo today I want to break down the cost of starting a Shopify store.
How Much Does It Cost To Start An Online Boutique with shopify?
Let's start with the basics -
➕ Business Registration - Business Reg. is different in every state and country. In Australia, to start a business as a sole proprietor costs $0. All you've got to do is register your business under your name and apply for ABN. If you are in the US or any other part of the world, check out your state laws and alter the business cost accordingly.

➕ Shopify Website - Shopify is a user-friendly platform that’s easy to operate, design & build your store on. The reason I love shopify over Squarespace for e-commerce is because it also comes with in-built apps that you can install to run your store with ease. It also comes with a free 7 day

Shopify Cost - USD $39/month
➕ FREE THEME - When designing your store, pick a FREE theme for your store. This will save you 100s of $$. If you are worried about your store looking the same as others because you are using a free theme, don’t worry. With the RIGHT BRANDING & website layout you’ll be able to create a store that’s unique & different.
Cost - $0
➕ CREATE YOUR BRAND USING CANVA - You can use CANVA (another free website) to create your branding, logo & colors. There’s a lot more to branding than colors but Canva is a great place to START with the basics.
Cost - $0
➕ DOWNLOAD DROPSHIPPING APPS ON SHOPIFY - As I mentioned above, Shopify has a lot of apps to help you start & grow your store. This also includes various Dropshipping apps. There are a lot of Dropshipping apps you can pick & choose based on the products you want to sell. Most of these apps are paid but also come with a free trial that let’s you see the product selection. My personal favorites are – Zendrop, CJDropshipping & Spocket. You can also find Dropshippers outside of Shopify to sell on your website.
Cost - USD $15/m to $50/m
➕ INSTALL OTHER APPS – Apps like Shopify Email, Upsell & bundles, Product Reviews etc. come with FREE option that you can use to enhance your website & customer service.
Cost - $0
If you tally up all the cost your monthly cost for starting a store with Shopify is anywhere between - $54 to $89. (The variation is based on the monthly cost of the Dropshipinng App that you’ll pick.)
